Volunteering in TÜRGEV

TÜRGEV aims to create a strong, productive, and value-oriented community by establishing a sustainable communication network with volunteers and alumni. The Volunteer and Alumni Studies conducted within the Directorate of Student and Alumni Relations aim to create a structure that supports individual development, strengthens community belonging, and produces social impact.

Volunteering is the act of an individual offering their knowledge, experience, skills, and time for the benefit of society without expecting any material compensation. The model of volunteering in TÜRGEV is built on a value-based understanding that encourages participation, develops competencies, and is based on sustainability.

Who Can Volunteer?

  • Those who embrace the vision, mission, and values of TÜRGEV

  • Those who want to contribute to the work with their knowledge, experience, and competencies.

  • Individuals who can provide regular or periodic support for the assigned tasks and activities

  • Individuals who can adhere to the principles of communication, ethics, privacy, and responsibility during the volunteering process.

  • Students, graduates, and candidates from different professional fields

Areas of Volunteering

  • Education and Mentorship

    Support for training, mentoring, content development, and implementation processes in workshops, seminars, camps, and training programs.

  • Event, Organization, Culture and Art

    Support for the planning, preparation, organization, reception, registration, guidance, and implementation processes of cultural and artistic programs such as events, workshops, exhibitions, and trips.

  • Social Responsibility Projects

    Development, planning, implementation, and support for field studies of projects aimed at social needs and social benefit.

  • Corporate Communication

    Support for visual and written content production, graphic design, video and editing work, as well as social media and field communication processes.

  • Research, Reporting and Data

    Support for research, data collection, classification, analysis, reporting, and impact assessment studies.

Volunteer Areas refer to the fields where our volunteers can contribute to TÜRGEV activities in line with their interests, experiences, and competencies. Volunteers can take on roles in various areas, from education to mentoring, from event organization to digital content production. Assignments are made based on the volunteer's preferences and suitability, as well as the current needs of our foundation.

Application and Evaluation Process

  1. Filling out the volunteer application form

  2. The examination of the application in line with the area of interest, competence, suitability, and expectations.

  3. If deemed necessary, the introductory meeting will be held.

  4. Inclusion of suitable candidates in the orientation process

  5. Matching the volunteer with a suitable unit, project, or activity

  6. Participation, feedback, and tracking of the development process
