We participated in the 6th International CNR Book Fair this year with the motto ‘As we read; we develop, change, and renew’.

During the fair, which took place from March 9 to 17, discussions were held considering the career goals and current questions and issues of young people.

Content that could be beneficial to young people was developed through discussions where expert guests met with them. On the first day, Green Crescent Educator Ömer Faruk Bozdoğan shared important information with the youth on one of today’s most significant issues, ‘Technology Addiction’. In the discussion titled ‘Reading Fast with Understanding’ with Dr. Orkun Yaycılı, important notes were taken for enjoyable and continuous reading habits through techniques of speed reading and comprehension.

In the ‘Discussion on Cinema’ with Director and Film Writer Abdulhamit Güler, the contributions of fine arts to human development were discussed. In the discussion with Young Author Fatih Baha Aydın, who participated with his book ‘Bihaber’, a pleasant dialogue was held that could encourage young people to read books and pursue writing. Finally, discussions were held on the book ‘Children’s Publications and Opening Up to the Outside’ presented by our Board Member Dr. Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı.

Our Board Chair Dr. Fatmanur Altun Did Not Leave Young People Alone

At the fair, which saw intense participation from book lovers and students, our Board Chair Dr. Fatmanur Altun met with young people. During the fair, the Chair also held a discussion, providing important advice to the youth regarding their career goals. The event concluded with Dr. Fatmanur Altun signing her book and taking a commemorative photo.
