Founded in November last year, TURKEN UK has quickly become a hub for students from many nations in England, thanks to its unique location right in the middle of universities and language schools in London, across from the British Museum. TURKEN UK, where students contribute selflessly in various stages from furniture setup to seminar poster design, also hosts a variety of productive programs.

Some of the programs organized under different titles to facilitate the academic work of Muslim students in England and reinforce their successes are as follows:

With the ALBANIAN MUSLIM FORUM program, which takes place on the last Friday of each month with the participation of over forty Muslim Albanians, TURKEN UK aims to be a home for not only Turks but also students from our heartland in England.

Through TURKEN ACADEMIC TALKS and TURKEN TALKS, which are programs where students pursuing or recently completing their PhDs in England share their research and thesis topics, both cultural and academic interaction among students is facilitated.

At the UNDERSTANDING BRITISH MUSLIMS/ISLAM in the UK meetings, where the successes, cultures, and lifestyles of Muslims in England are discussed, the social, political, and economic implications of living and studying as a Muslim in England are debated and evaluated.

In the MONTHLY BREAKFAST MEET-UP gatherings held every month on a Saturday, the aim is for students to establish friendships where they can support each other and to socialize with their peers who were born and raised in England.

With the ACADEMIC WRITING COURSE classes conducted every Thursday for 11 weeks by successful academics in their fields, students are aimed to learn the intricacies of academic writing and research techniques.

In the TURKEN ACADEMIC CLINIC program held every Friday, Dr. Behar Sadriu, an academic at UCL and SOAS, provides one-on-one assistance to students regarding their educational questions.

Since its inception, TURKEN UK, which was visited by our Chairman Dr. Fatmanur Altun in January and consulted with foundation managers, continues to create value with the work it produces for Muslim students in England.
