At TEKNOFEST Istanbul, Turkey's largest technology event held between September 17-22, we participated with our concept of 'Online Ideas Competition' and 'Imagine and Sign!' to raise awareness about training our students with the technology knowledge of the future and transforming Turkey into a society that produces national technology.

In our competition, which attracted great interest from science and technology enthusiasts, students shared their technology-themed ideas that will shape the future with us through the website www.cevrimicifikirler.com.

The competition concluded in a short time, and the awards given in a total of five categories were presented to the winning participants by our General Manager Oktay Altındiş at a meeting held at our headquarters on Friday, November 15.

Oktay Altındiş, who spoke with the young people we hosted at our foundation about their future plans, gave them advice on how to direct their education and provided guiding suggestions on what kind of contributions they could make to realize their projects. He congratulated all our participants and wished them continued success.

Winning Projects

A team made up of students from Kartal Anadolu Imam Hatip High School received the first prize with their idea of a social media application called Aware Up, which aims to spread social responsibility based on volunteerism.

Medical Faculty student Cemre Karabacak was awarded the second prize for her 3D Printer idea, which could assist in the treatment of leukemia and diabetes patients by monitoring the cells and enzymes needed by the body through a micro-printer placed inside the body.

Ahmet Hakan Apa, a student at Konya Lokman Hekim Health Vocational High School, won the third prize with his Smart Reflector idea, which aims to prevent loss of life by warning other vehicles in case of accidents or breakdowns on highways.

Beyza Nur Kayacı, a student at Istanbul University, earned a special jury award for her Ramp Wheelchair idea, which will make life easier for disabled citizens using public transportation.

Fatma Dursun, a student at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, was awarded a special jury prize for her idea of creating a shield around a person at the moment they are about to be subjected to violence.
