Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended a traditional dinner organized by the TURKEN Foundation, the partner organization of the Ensar Foundation in the USA, in New York during the 74th United Nations General Assembly meetings.

At the dinner held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, there were also Dr. Fatmanur Altun, Chairman of the Board of TÜRGEV, Behram Turan, President of the TURKEN Foundation, Taşkın Bumin Ayrancı, General Coordinator of the TURKEN Foundation, executives from the Ensar Foundation, board members of the foundations, prominent businessmen from the Turkish and American communities, community leaders, and representatives of civil society organizations.

In his speech, President Erdoğan stated, "We have transformed Turkey into an educational hub for the students of friendly and brotherly geographies. We have 168,000 guest students studying with Turkish scholarships and on their own account. Our goal is to increase the number of guest students in our country to 350,000. God willing, this way, we will enter the top 5 countries in the world hosting the most guest students."

Stating that he sees TURKEN as the standard bearer of the deep-rooted foundation tradition in our civilization in the United States, President Erdoğan said, "Our foundation makes us proud with its projects in various fields of education. I congratulate each of my brothers who have contributed to this success, every philanthropist, and I say, 'May God be pleased with them.'"

Erdoğan also emphasized that young people need to carry out interdisciplinary studies to adapt to the age, and continued his speech with the following words:

"I always say that you young people, whom I see as the guarantee of our future, need to receive a good education. It is important for our youth to develop themselves in various fields, from language education to social development projects, from politics to civil society activities, alongside their main areas of interest. Nowadays, specialization in a single field has lost its value, except for certain professions. We are witnessing that versatile individuals who are knowledgeable in their own fields and can work in different areas of life are more sought after. Our organizations like TURKEN provide you students with a fertile atmosphere where you can recognize life and contribute to others along with your own self. It is your responsibility here to make the best use of the opportunities provided for your future and the future of our nation."
