The Ibn Haldun University, founded by our foundation, held its 6th Graduation Ceremony at the university's campus in Başakşehir. At the ceremony attended by our Board Chair Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, IHÜ graduates and academics wore badges inscribed with the names of the martyrs from Gaza.

Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan also wore a badge bearing the name of Prof. Dr. Sufyan Tayeh, the Rector of Gaza Islamic University, who was martyred when his home was targeted in an attack by Israeli warplanes. Gassan Ebu Sitte, the Palestinian-born Rector of the University of Glasgow, who was the guest of honor at the ceremony, expressed his thoughts on why the United Nations or other international organizations have left them behind on the Palestinian issue for so long.

Sitte emphasized that they feel Turkey's strong support as Palestinians and appreciated the efforts made to continue education in Gaza, stating that they have never lost their belief that the future belongs to them and that the occupiers are only temporarily in Palestine. Sitte said that land, money, and social status can be lost, but the education that students receive cannot be taken away from them. Gassan Ebu Sitte highlighted that the education provided by Ibn Haldun University to its graduates is a treasure that they will carry throughout their lives and can never be stolen from them.

In the program, our Board Chair Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz also gave a speech and congratulated the graduating students for completing their education at such a valuable university as IHÜ. She thanked the students who dedicated their graduation to Gaza for their sensitive and honorable stance, stating, "Your presence, voice, and support for our Palestinian brothers fighting against the Israeli genocide reinforce our belief that you are a catalyst for a human awakening."

The graduation ceremony concluded with prayers read for the Palestinian martyrs and the presentation of diplomas to the students.
