The exhibition, realized in collaboration with the Palestine Foundation and the Presidency of the National Palaces, Albaraka, Ibn Khaldun University, and with the support of us TÜRGEV, was curated by Meryem Veli and creatively directed by H. Gülnihal Aydın.

In the exhibition featuring original works of traditional art forms such as calligraphy, illumination, marbling, and miniature, works reflecting the spirit of Jerusalem and the cry of Gaza met with art lovers. Many names from academia, media, civil society, and the cultural world came together at the widely attended opening.

Art Meets Conscience with the Exhibition

The "Loyalty" exhibition makes visible the spiritual bond we have established with the Palestinian people through art, while also presenting a strong example of cultural solidarity. Each work represents our nation's sensitivity to the humanitarian tragedy occurring in Palestine and the moral language we have established with our ancient arts.

Message from Our President: "This Voice is Our Voice"

Our Board Chair, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, included the following remarks in her evaluation at the opening of the exhibition:

"As the children of these lands, we are not among those who remain silent in the face of oppression; we are the bearers of a conscience that stands tall against the oppressor, adorned with compassion. The Loyalty exhibition is an effort to be the voice of the oppressed through our arts nourished by the wisdom of our ancestors. Each work is an expression of a cultural stance against the ongoing humanitarian tragedy in Palestine."

Our President stated that the exhibition is not only an art event but also a part of our civilization's journey shaped by compassion, concluding her words with the following sentences:

"As the children of this nation, whose winds blow from Jerusalem, whose prayers come from Bosnia, and whose will is from Istanbul; we express solidarity not only through words but also through art. This voice is our voice. This spirit, this conscience; is the hope of the oppressed, the essence of our nation, and the collective memory of humanity."

All Proceeds to Gaza

All proceeds from the exhibition will be directed to humanitarian aid projects in Gaza. Visitors will not only experience an art event but also join a call to conscience.

The "Loyalty" exhibition will continue to welcome its visitors at the Dolmabahçe Art Gallery until May 17.
