Applications are now open for the SOCIAWARE Game Software School for Social Cohesion of Disadvantaged Youth, which will be held for the first time this year under the coordination of TÜRGEV.
The project, which will bring together educational institutions and sectors from innovative and creative industries, aims to enhance the technical quality of products developed across Europe and presented to the digital gaming market, balance regional disparities in game software technology across the EU, and encourage the interests of young people.
Within the scope of the project, the creative and technical skills of disadvantaged youth groups will be developed in the field of information technology. Groups brought together with experts in the field at the EU level will gain competence and skills in the gaming industry. The project aims to contribute to the creation of qualified employment in the gaming field, sustainable development in information technology, and social inclusion through technology.
40 young people aged 18-29 who speak English and are interested in game software and production will participate in 184 hours of certified online training at Bahçeşehir University, workshops on Script, Story Development and Technical Writing, Animation and Cinematography, Game Publishing, Graphic Design and Modeling, and visits to companies and institutions. They will also attend events to be held in Turkey, France, Germany, and Portugal.
The employability of young people who develop their skills within the project will be supported at the EU level.
* SOCIAWARE is an Erasmus+ Project to be carried out under the coordination of TÜRGEV (Türkiye Gençlik ve Eğitime Hizmet Vakfı. All training and mobility provided within the project are free of charge, and the language of instruction is English.
