On November 11, 2019, at 11:11 AM, 11 million saplings were planted in 81 provinces and 2023 locations across Turkey as part of the "Breath for the Future" campaign initiated with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's General Directorate of Forestry, which was declared as 'National Afforestation Day'.

President Erdoğan, who launched the event of planting 11 million saplings simultaneously in 81 provinces at 11:11 AM in Ankara, stated, “Our goal is a Turkey that has reached an emerald green appearance. We are working to protect the air, water, and soil in a period where global warming has taken over the agenda. We are the descendants of an ancestor who said, 'Even if you know the apocalypse is coming, plant the sapling in your hand.' I would like to thank my entire nation once again for the interest you have shown in this campaign.”

In the campaign carried out under the slogan “Today Sapling, Tomorrow Breath,” 11 million trees were left as a legacy for a greener Turkey, and a world record was set in this field.

CONTRIBUTION TO GREEN ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS TÜRGEV

To increase and develop sensitivity towards nature and the environment in our country, especially to renew the forests that have been damaged recently, we supported the project with the participation of 450 students from 37 of our provinces as TÜRGEV.

Our students, who expressed their happiness about participating in this meaningful afforestation campaign across the country, had the excitement for their future visible in their eyes.

For the future generations to be raised with environmental awareness and for a greener Turkey

with the support we provided to this awareness project, we, as TÜRGEV, took pride in contributing to the spread of environmentally friendly policies for the ecological development of our country.
