The first TÜRGEV Academy Student Symposium, brought together students from different disciplines studying at the TÜRGEV Academy.

The students staying in TÜRGEV dormitories receive academic education to gain competencies beyond their specialization areas, creating a second university-like environment with special interests and study areas, and expanded its application area with the first student symposium.

The program, which allows young undergraduates to understand different disciplines together as well as the principles of scientific research, includes two main modules: Islamic Sciences and Social Sciences. In addition to the modules, the program also covers activities such as seminars, workshops, camps, and trips organized throughout the year.

At the symposium where university students presented their papers on topics of their choice from these two main modules, TÜRGEV Board Chairman Dr. Fatmanur Altun, Central Office staff, academy instructors, students' families, and classmates were among the audience.

In his opening speech, Board Chairman Dr. Fatmanur Altun expressed the importance of the academy for them and the goal of TÜRGEV by saying, 'First and foremost, we want to bring a different approach to knowledge to the world's agenda by investing in knowledge and increasing it.' Dr. Altun pointed out that the Academy Program emerged as a result of love and demand for knowledge and truth beyond the principle of positive discrimination for female students, stating that all efforts would be made to open paths and provide opportunities to reach true knowledge.

Continuing his words by saying, 'We have a greater ideal. We have a mission to obtain the truth in order to guide with justice as an institution on earth,' Dr. Altun expressed that as Muslims, we should have an answer to the course of the world and societies and that they wanted to change the perspective on knowledge that has been established in the Islamic world for the last 200-300 years.

Presentations addressing topics such as An Evaluation on Whether the Gate of Ijtihad is Closed or Not, the Palestine-Israel Conflict in the City of Al-Khalil, and the Causes of Innovation Movements in Religions through Reformation and Islamism, processed with an interdisciplinary approach, demonstrated students' abilities to interpret knowledge in different fields and express it, leaving a very positive impact by encouraging them to share knowledge.

With the TÜRGEV Academy Student Symposium planned to be held annually, the aim is to provide a practical area for students' academic development.
