As TÜRGEV, we believe that investment in youth is not limited to individual successes, but strategically contributes to Turkey's development vision. With this understanding, we actively participated in TercihFest 2025, organized in collaboration with Istanbul Technical University, where we are among the founders of Ibn Khaldun University.

TercihFest 2025, held in Istanbul from July 25 to 27, 2025, became one of the most comprehensive events that brought TÜRGEV’s vision together with young people. Through workshops, interviews, and consultancy programs conducted with the participation of our Board Chair, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, we brought university candidates from all over Turkey together under one roof with academics, decision-makers, and private sector leaders.

Organized under the theme "Tomorrow's Turkey," TercihFest 2025 not only provided guidance for candidates who succeeded in the university entrance exam but also offered a value-based, visionary, and strategic roadmap for young people in the decision-making phase of the ÖSYM YKS 2025 preference process. This event, which combines our approach to equal opportunities in education with TÜRGEV’s trust in youth, clearly demonstrated that university preferences are not just a choice but a decision that determines the direction of the future.

Equal Opportunity in Education: The True Power that Determines Success

Our Board Chair Yılmaz stated, "A total of 114 students preparing for exams in TÜRGEV dormitories achieved significant successes. The fact that 33 of our students from the Kartal dormitory ranked nationally, and students from Silopi placed among the top 10, once again highlighted that the determining factor in success is the opportunities provided." Yılmaz used the following expressions in his statement:

As expressed in Ibn Khaldun's work Mukaddime; geographical conditions can be effective in the development of societies. However, the main determining factors in individual development are education, culture, values, and individual effort.

With this understanding, we believe as TÜRGEV that with the right support mechanisms, fair opportunities, and a value-based educational approach, our young girls can transcend their immediate environment. Therefore, the approach that "university preference is not the result of an exam, but a decision that determines the course of the future" constitutes our fundamental educational philosophy.

An Education Ecosystem that Prepares for Life

In his speech, President Yılmaz expressed that TÜRGEV has gone far beyond being merely a structure that provides accommodation, offering a multi-layered educational model that prepares young girls for life beyond exam success:

"Education is the will to determine the direction of a nation. Every young person we invest in is not just a success story but a bearer of a vision. Our priority is to raise individuals who produce solutions in times of crisis, contribute to society, and develop a moral stance. With leadership workshops, value education, and mentoring systems, we advance this vision one step further every day."

Leaders Who Believe in Youth Shape Turkey's Future

At the event, the gathering of pioneering figures in their fields, such as Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of BAYKAR, Haluk Görgün, President of the Defense Industry, journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy, and scientist Burcu Özsoy with young people, was one of the strongest indicators of Turkey's trust in its younger generations.

These meetings were extremely valuable not only for career guidance but also for providing value-based inspiration.

Trust in Youth is an Investment in Turkey's Future

TÜRGEV operates with a vision that will guide young girls not only in Turkey but throughout the Islamic world, transforming their potential into value creation on a global scale.

As stated by TÜRGEV Board Chair Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz:
"Believing in youth is investing in Turkey. Every opportunity we provide them is a step taken towards the future of Turkey."
