We brought together our students who ranked in the short film competition "Traces of the Past" and the fairy tale competition "Writings in the Sky," which we launched in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, at the "Call to Hope" Award Ceremony held at Kadıköy Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.

On this meaningful day, we collectively watched the ways in which our youth express their sensitivity towards cultural heritage through their artistic productions and their sensitivity towards Palestine, with the participation of our Deputy Minister of Interior Bülent Turan, our Governor of Istanbul Mustafa Asım Alkan, and Provincial Director of National Education Murat Mücahit Yentürk.

At our ceremony; the Palestine-themed stage design, the Palestine Exhibition prepared by Güzel İşler Fabrikası (GİF) students, the concert featuring Palestinian melodies, the award presentations, and the balloon release event received great appreciation.
The short film and fairy tale works prepared by the youth provided the audience with both emotional and hopeful moments.

Our Board Chair Av. Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz emphasized in her speech at the ceremony that we see education not just as an academic process but as a journey encompassing the development of a person in all aspects:

"We care not only about our students' academic achievements but also their social, cultural, and artistic development. Our goal is to create a development ecosystem that combines knowledge with values and talent with conscience. The 'Traces of the Past' and 'Writings in the Sky' competitions have become one of the finest examples of this understanding."

In her speech, our Chair also highlighted the importance of the competition organized with the theme of Palestine:

"Today, technology is advancing, but no progress means anything without justice, conscience, and compassion. We have seen in Palestine that if technology is not at the service of humanity, it can turn into a cruel weapon. Our duty is not only to teach our youth these values but also to ensure they internalize them."

Our Chair stated that the education approach of TÜRGEV shares the same values as the Maarif Model developed by the Ministry of National Education, saying:

"True education is possible when the student knows themselves, their family, their community, and the world they live in. In this direction, we aim for our youth to gain aesthetics, sensitivity, and social awareness along with knowledge. The collaboration we established with the Ministry of National Education has created a strong ecosystem that nurtures these values."

Hope from 38 High Schools

A total of 38 high schools participated in the competition process carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education. As a result of the evaluations made by the juries, high school students who ranked in the short film and fairy tale categories received their awards in a ceremony.
