Since 2020, through tree plantings carried out in many provinces, especially in Istanbul, Hatay, Antalya, Izmir, and Ankara, the foundation contributes to nature.
The environmental efforts of TÜRGEV are carried out in collaboration with the Regional Directorates of Forestry. The tree plantings, planned according to the soil structure of each region, take place in a harmonious, permanent, and supervised process with nature. Thus, the foundation acts with an understanding that considers not only today but also tomorrow.
Forests rising from their ashes
TÜRGEV also took action to heal the wounds after forest fires. The memorial forests created in Antalya in 2021 and in Yamanlar, Izmir in 2024 became a source of hope for the burned areas. In the same year, 2,510 saplings were planted in memory of the martyrs of July 15 on the European side of Istanbul. This special planting aimed to keep alive the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the homeland.
A sapling, 2000 hopes during Ramadan
In the Ramadan of 2024, TÜRGEV donated 1,990 saplings on behalf of its guests. While laying the foundation for a new memorial forest with these saplings, it contributed to the environment and presented a lasting example of sharing.
A special memorial forest for Cevdet Yılmaz
In 2025, a memorial forest of 2,025 saplings will be created at the Atatürk Forest Farm in Ankara in honor of the Vice President Mr. Cevdet Yılmaz. This special donation symbolizes the transformation of an individual intention into a societal benefit.
The same roots, the same intention from Istanbul to Hatay
The environmental sensitivity of TÜRGEV will continue in 2025. A total of 2,292 saplings, ready to be planted in Istanbul, Hatay, Antalya, Izmir, and Ankara, are waiting to meet the soil in the foundation's new memorial forests.
