TÜRGEV stood once again with the oppressed Palestinians, the voice of justice and conscience.
On Sunday, October 5, 2025, we participated in the "Great Palestine March" held in Istanbul against Israel's attacks in Gaza.
Together with our volunteers and members of the 51N1Kudüs Platform, we said "We are Walking for Freedom" with our flags in hand and the voice of justice in our hearts.

On that day, not only Istanbul but also Ankara, Izmir, Erzurum, and Çanakkale marched with the same belief.
A single voice echoed from all corners of Turkey:
"Gaza is not alone."

Under the shadow of the Hagia Sophia Mosque, we gathered with prayers and takbirs.
As we walked to Eminönü Square after the noon prayer, we held Turkish and Palestinian flags; our tongues spoke the same prayer, the same plea:

"End the genocide in Gaza!", "Freedom for Palestine!", "Lift the blockade!"

At that moment, it was not just a march, but a campaign of conscience.

TÜRGEV Our volunteers from the 51N1Kudüs Platform held banners that read "The voice of justice will not be silenced" and "Gaza is not alone"; in our hearts, we felt the common pain of the ummah.

With this march, we shouted once again:

The people of Palestine are our brothers, Gaza is our wound.
We did not remain silent for justice; we walk for the oppressed.

The story of the brave volunteers who set out to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza resonated in the conscience of a nation. The return of these heroes, who were detained by Israel for three days, was met with tears and prayers in the squares.

Under the instruction of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a total of 137 activists, including 36 Turks, were brought to our country and were warmly welcomed by the people during the march in Istanbul.

That day, more than just a reunion took place. Justice met courage, faith met humanity.

TÜRGEV we wholeheartedly supported this honorable struggle.
Because we believe that sometimes a ship crosses not only the sea but also the silence of humanity.

On that day, not only Istanbul but all corners of Turkey stood up for Gaza with the same heart and the same prayer.

In Ankara, thousands of citizens marched in front of Melike Hatun Mosque chanting "Freedom for Gaza!".
The people of the capital, sending greetings to Palestine with prayers and takbirs, became the voice of justice.

In Izmir, the sea took on another meaning.
Fishing boats and civil society organizations took a tour decorated with Palestinian flags in front of Cumhuriyet Square with the "Solidarity from the Sea" event.
The Palestinian flags waving in the blue of the Aegean saluted the brotherhood of a nation.

In Erzurum, a day was experienced where not the winds, but the warm breath of conscience blew.
The "Stand Up Gaza" march, which started from Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, ended with prayers at Havuzbaşı City Square.
Young people, families, children... Everyone shouted with the same feeling:

"We will not remain silent until Gaza is free."

This voice rising from the heart of Anatolia became a brotherly hand reaching out to Palestine.

We are the children of this geography.
Turning our back on the oppressed is not in our tradition or our faith.
The cry of our brothers in Palestine is the pain of our hearts.

In the statement we made after the march, we expressed the following:

"What is happening in Gaza is a common test of humanity.
We stand on the side of justice, conscience, and brotherhood.
We will continue to exist alongside the people of Palestine with our prayers, our efforts, and our solidarity."
