The "Memorization Crown Ceremony" organized for 11 female students who completed their memorization in the memorization workshop at TÜRGEV was held at the Bağlarbaşı Culture and Congress Center.

Our Board Chairman Dr. Fatmanur Altun, General Assembly Members, our students and their families, and guests attended the program.

Out of 319 students working on memorization in the memorization workshop, 176 are continuing their lessons in the preparation phase of memorization, and 143 are in the memorization phase. The "Memorization Crown Ceremony" organized for 11 students who completed their memorization in 2018 began with the recitation of the Quran.

Speaking at the program, our Chairman Dr. Fatmanur Altun said, "Education should undertake the mission of existing in every area of life, facilitating human life, and guiding towards the good. As educators, it is our most important duty to convey this knowledge to the students under our responsibility. We are aware of the deficiency caused by the current educational understanding that measures analytical intelligence and values only the numerical field. This understanding, which denies the importance of social sciences, has produced a societal structure where empathy-lacking, pragmatic, hedonistic individuals have begun to dominate, combined with savage production relations. The foundations of imperialist systems are nourished by this structure. Our institution, which aims to raise names and representatives on a global scale, is aware that this representation can only be realized with a generation that is connected to its own roots and upholds its religious and spiritual values."

Altun stated that viewing education merely as a process of acquiring a profession is an extremely shallow approach and recorded the following:

"Education is one of the most important social institutions and constructions that, alongside and more importantly than this, enables meeting the values of society and finding one's way in a healthy manner within the cultural atmosphere of the society in which one lives. For education to achieve this goal, it must be built on solid foundations. In this context, the most meaningful and special works are undoubtedly memorization studies. As TÜRGEV, our aim with memorization studies is to create a virtuous and ethical society, to raise a qualified and knowledgeable generation, and to ensure the transfer of the miracle of the Quran from person to person for the preservation of our identity. In other words, it is to embrace the duty of being guardians of the Quran. Within this understanding, we ensure that higher education and secondary education students staying in our dormitories can carry out memorization studies in harmony with their school, while also providing them with practical application areas for the knowledge they learn by assisting their academic success."

"MEMORIZATION IS AS VALUABLE AS IT IS A CHALLENGING PROCESS"

We have closely experienced how important motivation and proper guidance are in these trainings. Our main goal in the upcoming process will be to ensure that our newly started memorization students progress quickly and to increase the number of students who complete their memorization. The next step will be to provide the necessary training for our students who have completed their memorization to reinforce their memorization, and then to ensure that they receive the "Certificate of Memorization" from the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Undoubtedly, the most important issue is to conduct studies not only to memorize the Quran but also to understand and live the verses. We will not neglect to reflect our sensitivity on this matter in the studies to be conducted.

"MEMORIZATION REQUIRES DISCIPLINE, FAITH, AND DETERMINATION"

Only a handful of our hundreds of students who aspire to this honorable process can complete it. We believe that if we can convey how noble an achievement it is through motivation, proper guidance, technical support, and most importantly, this number will increase exponentially. Our students should not fear memorization; they should not fall into the misconception that it will take up most of their time or be a reason for failure in their education. The brain is an ocean; we all know that memorization strengthens memory and keeps the brain fresh and alert; especially when it comes to the verses of our exalted book, it will yield even more fruitful results.

May God grant us all the honor of being dignified with His religion and living as worthy servants of Him. I commend and congratulate all our students embarking on this blessed journey, and I proudly express that we take pride in our students who have completed their memorization. They have memorized and protected our exalted book; may God protect and preserve them. I thank you all for your valuable participation and pray to God for the increase in the number of our students, who are the candles of our bright future."

The program ended with a religious music performance, video presentation, crown-wearing ceremony, and gift presentation.
