TÜRGEV Eda Nur Sarıçam, one of the students of our Bahçelievler Higher Education Girls' Dormitory, won first place at the 10th UIC World High-Speed Rail Congress and Trade Fair held under the theme of "Sharing Knowledge for Sustainable and Competitive Operations" with her project.

With her project, our student addressed the topic of "energy consumption and carbon emissions," drawing attention to global warming, which is the biggest problem of today's world. The project aims to show the carbon footprint information of customers who prefer to travel by rail on their tickets through a ticketing system, based on the average carbon footprint of the world and Turkey, as well as the passenger's average carbon footprint, aiming to raise awareness of a green environment. The project compares railways with competing airlines, highways, and waterways, and indicates how many trees need to be planted to offset this pollution.
