ISTANBUL - January 23, 2025 - Türkiye Gençlik ve Eğitime Hizmet Vakfı (TÜRGEV) is celebrating a remarkable achievement in its ongoing efforts to promote talent and make positive contributions to society. Most recently, Ibn Khaldun Male Dormitory student Ahmet Bilgiç brought great pride to TÜRGEV by securing third place in the 'I Had an Idea' Inter-University Communication Ideas Competition.

The prestigious competition, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, RATEM (Radio and Television Broadcasters Professional Association), and the General Directorate of Copyrights, stood out as an organization featuring 863 works from 1775 students. Bilgiç's innovative radio piece, competing in five categories including television, radio, cartoon-animation, newspaper-magazine, and new media, drew attention in this highly competitive field.

Bilgiç, who is studying in the New Media and Communication Department, addressed the theme of combating piracy in his work, which he participated in under the pseudonym "Bilenyum." Through his narrative highlighting the grievances caused by digital piracy against artists, Bilgiç delivered a meaningful message to listeners. This valuable work received great acclaim from the jury.

The spokesperson for TÜRGEV stated, "Ahmet Bilgiç's significant achievement is not only a reflection of his potential but also of the potential of all the youth in Turkey. As TÜRGEV, we aim to cultivate leaders who will shape the future of our country by maximizing the knowledge and skills of our youth. Ahmet's success is also proof of our determination to raise ethical, sensitive, and productive individuals in important fields such as academia and media. We believe that our youth will shape both their own futures and the future of our country by embracing our national values. This success has made the TÜRGEV family proud and has motivated us to achieve even greater successes," he said.
