The Social Sciences Festival 2026 (SosyalFest), which has become one of Turkey's important organizations in the field of social sciences, was held with wide participation at Istanbul University on May 10-11. The festival, initiated by Karabük University, brought together young people from all over Turkey on the same platform with events organized under the themes of youth, family, cultural heritage, digital society, and social transformation.

This year, we also participated as TÜRGEV with our stand, which featured over 12,000 social projects. Throughout the festival, we shared information with students through one-on-one meetings about our accommodation options, scholarship supports, academic development programs, cultural activities, and youth work.

Intense interest in the TÜRGEV stand

The stand we set up in the festival area received intense interest from young people over the two days. Our programs, especially in career planning, leadership training, and preparing young people for the workforce, attracted great interest from university students. During the festival, we exchanged ideas with young people on social innovation, digital transformation, volunteer work, and community contribution projects through interviews and interactive events.

Academia, public sector, and youth met on the same platform

The opening program of SosyalFest 2026 was attended by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Istanbul University Rector Osman Bülent Zülfikar, and Karabük University Rector Fatih Kırışık. The panels, interviews, and workshops held during the festival aimed to develop a culture of joint production among young people focused on social sciences.
