We hosted the delegation of the International Women's Union for Support of Jerusalem and Palestine based in Algeria at our foundation. The delegation, which met with our Board Chair, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, sent a strong message of solidarity to the Palestinian people, who are the honor of the ummah.
In this meaningful meeting held in Istanbul; the ongoing humanitarian drama in Gaza, the oppression faced by women and children, the strengthening of ummah solidarity, and the cooperation opportunities between Turkey and Algeria were discussed.
Our President, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, emphasized in her evaluation during the visit that the Palestinian issue is not just a regional conflict, but a test of humanity's conscience and the faith of the ummah. She shared her message with the words, "We will not remain silent in the face of this call. Our faith commands us to stand firm by the oppressed. We will continue to be the voice of Palestine and defend the honor of Jerusalem."
As a foundation, we consider Gaza our own cause. We organized awareness marches with our students, participated in aid campaigns, and raised the voice of Palestine on international platforms. The patience of Palestinian mothers, the dignity of women, and the resilience of youth give us hope and inspiration. We know that if there is oppression from the tyrants, there is also accountability from Allah.
We have continued our support for Palestine not only on the ground but also through art and digital content. With the 5N1KUDÜS project, our youth brought the voice of Jerusalem to digital platforms; through the Gaza Istanbul March and the red balloon event at Çamlıca Mosque, we brought attention to the tragedy of the children who lost their lives in Gaza.
In the project "Pusula: The Common Aspect of Humanity," Turkish and Palestinian youth came together for Jerusalem. In the "Loyalty" exhibition we opened at the Dolmabahçe Art Gallery, we reflected the spirit of Jerusalem and the resistance of Gaza through Islamic arts, and we directed the proceeds to aid in Gaza.
The activities of our foundation, ranging from digital content to art, from youth meetings to international collaborations, ensure that our support for the Palestinian cause continues in various dimensions. With our sisterhood ecosystem, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the struggles of Palestinian women and youth, making a meaningful contribution to international solidarity.
