GIF MUSIC Project: Global Interaction for Future Musicians

The GIF MUSIC (Global Interaction for Future Musicians) project, supported by the Turkish National Agency and coordinated by TÜRGEV, will be held in the city of Skopje, North Macedonia, bringing together young musicians and youth workers from different countries.

As part of the project, participants will engage in comprehensive training and workshop activities on themes of intercultural interaction, co-production, psychological well-being, artistic development, and sustainability through music. Throughout the program, which will be conducted using non-formal education methods, participants will acquire theoretical knowledge and will also put this knowledge into practice through group work and hands-on music activities.

During the mobility process, workshops on Turkish music and Balkan music, improvisation, composition, and music arrangement activities, as well as community performance applications will be carried out. Participants will prepare a joint repertoire in the field of Turkish and Balkan music and will perform together at a public final concert to be held at the end of the project.

In addition to educational activities, applications themed around art and sustainability will also be included in the project. Participants will develop musical instruments using recyclable materials and will combine environmental awareness and artistic production through unique works carried out in nature. Workshops, co-productions, and the final concert at the end of the project will be recorded to prepare a documentary reflecting the project process, and the gains obtained will be disseminated to reach wider youth groups through outreach activities.

At the end of the program, participants will be entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate, which is internationally recognized, and it is aimed that the international collaborations established during the project will transform into new Erasmus+ projects and sustainable partnerships.

As TÜRGEV, we continue to develop projects that support the artistic, social, and personal development of young people, strengthen intercultural interaction, and increase international learning opportunities, and we are committed to implementing initiatives that bring young people together around common values.
