Ibn Haldun University aims to stand out as a "research university" in Turkey and the world with the quality of its education and the research projects it carries out. Ibn Haldun University (IHU) is a foundation university established by TÜRGEV. It was opened in 2015 and started education in the 2017-2018 Academic Year.
All education at the university is carried out in Fatih-Süleymaniye Campus (Süleymaniye Complex madrasahs), Bakırköy-Taş Mektep Campus and Başakşehir-İbn Haldun University Complex. Ibn Haldun Complex was built in Başakşehir by taking Ottoman madrasah architecture as an example and was put into service in October 2020.
Our university, which has a distinguished and internationally speaking academic staff, has 154 academicians and lecturers as of June 2021.
Six faculties (Faculty of Education, Law, Communication, Islamic Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences and Management Sciences) and 12 departments (Guidance and Psychological Counseling, New Media and Communication, Philosophy, Economics, Comparative Literature, Psychology, Political Science, and International Relations, Sociology, History, Business Departments) within Ibn Haldun University continue their education.
