The TURKEN Foundation (Turkish-American Youth and Education Foundation), established under the leadership of Türkiye Gençlik ve Eğitime Hizmet Vakfı (TÜRGEV), creates a qualified living and development environment for Turkish youth in America. The student dormitory located in the central Manhattan area of New York offers not only accommodation but also comprehensive facilities that support cultural interaction, academic development, and personal growth.
A Safe and Equipped Living Space for 204 Students
The dormitory consists of a total of 80 apartments, including 56 studios, 22 two-bedroom apartments, and 2 one-bedroom apartments. Serving a total of 204 students, with 102 girls and 102 boys, the dormitory features many areas that support social and academic life. Common kitchens, a prayer room, a laundry room, study areas designated for individual and group work, fitness rooms, and a multipurpose conference hall are open for students' use.
Security is ensured at the highest level with a 24-hour active camera system and a card access application in the dormitory. With all these facilities, students feel safe and also find opportunities for self-improvement.
Students residing in the TURKEN Dormitory continue their education at prestigious schools such as Columbia University, New York University (NYU), and Fordham University at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. The dormitory also serves as a development center for students receiving English language education, researchers, and individuals from various professional backgrounds.
