It means being responsible to your country, your nation, and the world.
As an Academy, we continue to support young researchers in generating ideas and developing their scientific confidence. In this context, the TÜRGEV Academy II. Student Symposium will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Cultural Center, Prof. Dr. Raşit Küçük Conference Hall.
TÜRGEV Academy II. Student Symposium will be held on May 17 at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Cultural Center.
We are bringing the second student symposium, which we held for the first time in 2019, to life this year with a broader content. The program will include interdisciplinary presentations focused on Islamic Sciences and Social Sciences, where the original works of young academics will be opened for discussion on a scientific basis.
The symposium will consist of two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The evaluation panels to be held after each session will provide students the opportunity to deepen their work with expert opinions.
Among the notable presentations this year;
- "The Impact of the Right to be Forgotten in the Digital Age on the Right to Privacy, Freedom of Expression, and Public Interest",
- "Discussions on Modern Psychology and Islam-Based Psychology",
- Researches containing socially relevant and interdisciplinary themes such as "The Commodification of Breast Milk and the Formula Milk Industry" are included.
The opening speeches of the symposium will be delivered by our Board Chair, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, and esteemed academics from Marmara University.
Many stakeholders, from academic circles to civil society representatives and think tanks, are invited to this meaningful gathering. Participation is free. Registrations will start at 09:00 on the day of the event.
