The Brotherhood Road from Istanbul to Karabakh

Our Safveti Pasha Campus located in Sirkeci, the heart of Istanbul, hosted an unforgettable event from December 22, 2024, to January 23, 2025: The Carpet Exhibition from Karabakh to Istanbul.

This impressive exhibition offered its visitors not only an aesthetic experience but also a journey intertwined with history and culture. Each carpet in the exhibition carries symbols reflecting the pains, resilience, and culture of Azerbaijan's Karabakh region. The traditional handwoven carpets told a deep story that touched on the history, roots, and reborn hopes of a people in every pattern.

The works of designer Elnara Rasulova, blended with modern touches, established a strong connection between the past and the present at the center of the exhibition. Rasulova's carpets combined traditional craftsmanship with a modern understanding, bringing the traces of the past into the present.

Prominent figures from the cultural world, such as the Chairman of the TÜRGEV Board, Av. Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, and the Founding President of the Harı Bülbül Azerbaijan Vision Theater Association, Kemale Cabbarova, attended the opening of the exhibition. The event showcased the resilience, history, and cultural heritage of a people through weavings, symbols, and narratives. Each carpet not only represents a weaving but carries the memory of a people, guiding the viewers towards a light that looks to the future with hope from the challenges of the past.

The Carpet Exhibition from Karabakh to Istanbul was more than just a visual feast; it was a celebration of the historical ties, cultural riches, and universal resilience between peoples. The event provided a powerful cultural experience that enveloped the past and the future, allowing peoples to touch their common heritage.

The exhibition ended on January 23, 2025. However, the deep traces it left behind will always keep the bridges between a people's past and future alive. Because art is a journey that connects identity, history, and memory, and although this exhibition has ended, the journey continues.
