We took our place in the historic meeting as TÜRGEV: We Gathered at Galata Bridge with Thousands of People

Istanbul hosted a meaningful solidarity meeting on the first day of the new year. Organized under the leadership of the Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) and attended by over 400 civil society organizations, including TÜRGEV and the National Will Platform, thousands of people came together at Galata Bridge to support Palestine. This event, which grew with the slogan "Yesterday Hagia Sophia, Today Umayyad, Tomorrow Al-Aqsa," became a powerful shout to the world against the ongoing oppression in Gaza.

As the TÜRGEV family, we took our place at Galata Bridge under the leadership of our Chairman, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, with the slogan 'A Sun is Rising.' By sharing live footage from Galata Bridge, where thousands gathered, with the hashtag #ForFairFuture, we also became a voice for Palestine's freedom on social media.

We congratulate all our stakeholders who participated in this meaningful meeting and once again express our support for Palestine's struggle for freedom. We firmly believe that the spirit of revival that started in Hagia Sophia will spread from Palestine to the world.
