A young student from the Turkish Youth and EducationFoundation (TÜRGEV) has brought great pride to Turkey bywinning third place in the prestigious "An Idea Came to My Mind" Inter-University Communication Ideas Competition.
Ahmet Bilgiç, a student at İbn Haldun Boys' Dormitory, stoodout among 1,775 participants and 863 entries in thecompetition, which was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, RATEM (Radio and TelevisionBroadcasters Professional Association), and the General Directorate of Copyright. Bilgiç's innovative radio piece, competing against entries in five categories including television, radio, animation, print media, and new media, captured theattention of the judges.
Studying New Media and Communication, Bilgiç, under thepseudonym "Bilenyum," tackled the issue of piracy in his work. His creative narrative highlighting the plight of artists whoseworks are stolen through digital piracy delivered a powerfulmessage to listeners.
