We were in North Macedonia to research Ramadan culture as part of the Kadim's Traces Project coordinated by TÜRGEV.

With the support of the National Agency, we aim to document the cultural heritage that is beginning to disappear through the Erasmus project named Kadim's Traces Youth Exchange coordinated by Türkiye Gençlik ve Eğitime Hizmet Vakfı (TÜRGEV), and to present these in the form of documentaries and articles in a digital environment for public benefit.

During the month of Ramadan and the Ramadan Feast, when we carried out the fourth phase of the project, we were in North Macedonia. We conducted collections in cities such as Skopje, Gostivar, Kumanovo, Radovish, Ohrid, and Kicevo with 40 participants. Our project participants, who received oral history training and conducted field research, documented the cultural heritage of the Muslim communities living in the region and completed the learning process using informal and non-formal education methods suitable for youth exchange activities. At the end of the project, participants had the opportunity to closely learn about the work of various institutions actively operating in the region, such as the Bridge Association, Maarif Foundation, Ensar Association, TIKA, MATUSITEB, Yunus Emre Institute, and TRT Balkan MK. Youthpass certificates were presented to the participants at the end of the project.

It is expected that the project's realization in a country like North Macedonia, where people of very different religions and cultures live together, will contribute to the understanding and development of intercultural dialogue.
